Never say never

Never say never!

2nd February 2021

In early December 2019, I applied for a position on Indeed for a Credit and Collections Analyst with a leading US multinational in East Cork. Unlike many applications made on Indeed, I received an almost immediate response from Emma O’Keeffe of PE Global sending me on the full job spec and offering her assistance with any further questions I had about the role.

At the start of the recruitment process, I was rather nervous about leaving a permanent position to take a fixed-term contract

Emma submitted my CV and salary expectations upon my behalf to the company in question. Once the company reopened after Christmas 2019 I was contacted by Emma to arrange an interview. Emma offered support both over the phone and by email in advance of the interview. She rang me after my interview to see how I felt it went and when she had spoken to HR in the company she rang to advise that they were going to make me an offer.

All through this process Emma was only on the other end of the phone for any questions I had. When a small point on my contract was not addressed as had been discussed in the interview Emma without hesitation went back to the company on my behalf to have the required amendment made.

At the start of the recruitment process, I was rather nervous about leaving a permanent position to take a fixed-term contract. In her negotiations, Emma secured an excellent salary which was above my expectation. The support I had from Emma/PE Global up until this point, the excellent salary and the excellent reputation of the company in question left me with little worry in accepting this position. At that point, I was transferred to the care of Aaron Coughlan in PE Global’s Accounts
