PE Global Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with a leading Semi State power generation organisation to recruit a Legal Counsel to join the tea. This is an initial 18 month FTC, based in Newbridge, Kildare. 

Overview:

The role will proactively assist the Legal Manager in the provision of legal services for the operational assets, strategic projects, business development, transactions and general Renewable Energy Business activities and lean centre projects.

The successful candidate will also support the Renewable Energy Business Unit and Lean Centre in the provision of general legal advice and services to facilitate the achievement of its commercial and strategic goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Legal Manager to oversee legal aspects of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with Business Unit goals. Provide legal support to Renewable Energy business, including commercial, governance, and transactional matters.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters, including Board and Shareholder approvals, and draft necessary documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on commercial and operational activities, offering proactive solutions to mitigate risks and overcome obstacles. Assist in negotiation of contracts and transactions.
  • Ensure consistency in legal policies and initiatives across Business Units.
  • Manage procurement of external legal services and coordinate payment.
  • Foster collaboration with legal colleagues in other Business Units to share information and maintain consistency in legal matters.
  • Uphold Health and Safety provisions, cooperating fully to ensure welfare of all stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in Performance Management to achieve personal and team objectives.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

 

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister;
  • Four years post qualification experience;
  • Experience managing large and varied workload;
  • Career evidence of team working, personal integrity and operational excellence;
  • MS Office Suite – familiarity with Legal Case Management Systems;
  • Good organizational and administration skills;
  • Ability to work on his/her own initiative;
