The EMEA finance team is looking for a qualified accountant on an 11-month maternity leave contract to cover a Senior Accountant Role.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of International Accounting, this position will be responsible for the monthly US GAAP close process and timeline management. In addition to this there will be preparation of lease accounting, capital software and various other ad hoc accounting items. The position will have ownership over multiple entities and also be involved in some statutory financial statement preparation and review and audit ownership.

The ideal candidate will have previous US GAAP general ledger experience, local FRS 102 accounting experience and any other local GAAP for entities is a plus. They must have outstanding attention to detail and enjoy working in a challenging, fast–paced and high-growth environment. The ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient is essential. Also being a great team player without ego, who is willing to take on ad hoc projects as requested and capable of working in cross-functional teams across cultures and – on occasion – time zones.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on month end close completion and drive efficiencies in this process
  • Manage the month end US GAAP close process for entities and FLUX review
  • Prepare accounting entries for lease accounting, capital software & other complex accounting entries along with normal month end journals
  • Work on the set-up of new entities, entity mergers, entity dissolutions & acquisitions
  • Work together with local financial service providers to review externally prepared financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP ledgers
  • Own audits of local statutory FS for entities assigned
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of individuals from across the organization on projects to drive overall enhancements to the financial statement process and other ad hoc projects
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

Skills

  • Minimum of 4+ years PQE of progressive accounting/finance experience including US GAAP month end process and local statutory financial reporting.
  • Experience with statutory reporting within the EMEA regions and managing audits, multinational environment is preferred.
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage high volume workloads simultaneously.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to define and implement internal controls or best practices.
  • Proficient with Excel and experience with Oracle Cloud (or other ERP system), ARCs, Wdesk, Smartsheets is a plus.
