Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a caring, compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our healthcare team in Cork, Ireland.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care and support to residents and patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

The Healthcare Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of registered nursing staff and contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive and person-centred care environment.

Essential qualifications and requirements

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification or equivalent recognised qualification is generally required by employers.

• Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home or healthcare setting is desirable.

• Good spoken and written English.

• Knowledge of personal care and infection prevention and control.

• Understanding of patient safety, dignity and confidentiality.

• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Compassionate, patient and caring attitude.

• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
