An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Infection Prevention & Control Nurse to join a well-established short-stay healthcare facility in Churchtown, Dublin 14. This facility supports patients transitioning from acute hospital care, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery with the goal of returning home.

Role Overview:
You will play a key role in promoting patient safety and delivering high-quality nursing care through effective infection prevention and control practices. This includes surveillance, risk assessment, staff training, policy development, and contributing to overall clinical standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead on infection control audits, training, and education across the facility

• Monitor infection trends and implement evidence-based prevention strategies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe patient care

• Oversee compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards

• Provide specialist advice and support to both staff and patients

What You’ll Need:

• Active NMBI registration

• Recognised qualification in Infection Prevention & Control

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• Background in acute or older person care settings preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
